Would you like to remain in your home but need some extra help to do so safely? If so, the Nursing Home Without Wall Program can help. They help older adults who are living in the community and their caregivers access health and social services to support aging at home.
Services offered through the Nursing Home Without Walls program include:
- Assisting with application to Social Development for: light housekeeping, cooking, medication, laundry, bathing, getting dressed or getting your meals. If you are at risk of a fall and need someone to help you with light housekeeping and getting a bath.
- Finding a lawyer or financial advisor to help with your Will and Power of Attorney.
- Navigate programs and benefits available to seniors.
- Assist with arranging home repairs or modifications.
- Equipment lending program – wheelchair, walker, etc.
- Use of a safe shower/tub room at Kiwanis Nursing Home
- Through our Community van - Transportation to appointments or the grocery store.
- Weekly Men’s and Women’s Club activities and outings.
- Weekly (two days) Social at Kiwanis Nursing Home: engaging activities and games, lunch, gentle movement class.
- Arrange for Meals and More to be delivered to your home.
